CyberTrust Co., Ltd. released MIRACLE LINUX 9.8, a minor version update to its RHEL-compatible, license-free MIRACLE LINUX, on July 15, 2026. However, this is not an image file for new installations but rather an Update Collection—an ISO file intended for upgrading from the previous MIRACLE LINUX 9.x version.
In this article, we will use this MIRACLE LINUX 9.8 Update Collection to upgrade MIRACLE LINUX 9.6 to 9.8.
1.Check the Current OS Version

2.Download the MIRACLE LINUX 9.8 Update Collection
This time, I'll download it to /tmp.

# wget https://repo.dist.miraclelinux.net/miraclelinux/9.8-released/isos/x86_64/MIRACLELINUX-9.8-rtm-x86_64.iso
3.Create the mount point directory "/media/cdrom" for the ISO image
# mkdir -p /media/cdrom
4.Mount an ISO image file
# mount -o loop MIRACLELINUX-9.8-rtm-x86_64.iso /media/cdrom
5.Download and install the MILACLE LINUX 9.8 GPG key
# wget https://repo.dist.miraclelinux.net/miraclelinux/9.8-released/RPM-GPG-KEY
# rpm --import RPM-GPG-KEY
6.Update
Run the following command at the command line
# dnf --disablerepo=\* --repofrompath=InstallMedia-BaseOS,file:///media/cdrom/BaseOS --repofrompath=InstallMedia-AppStream,file:///media/cdrom/AppStream check-update
